Description:
|
Before
performing a venipuncture, you must not only
select a vein but the appropriate catheter. In
addition to selecting a vein for the immediate
infusion, an inventory of potential sites should
be made to determine (in the best case and worst
case scenarios) if end-of-therapy can be achieved
using the short-term peripheral route. This module discusses the selection process which
must be accomplished before performing a venipuncture. |
