Glaucoma
is a disease of the eye that affects almost 3 million persons in
the United States and is the third leading cause of blindness
overall. This course will familiarize the learner with the
anatomy and physiology of glaucoma, different types of glaucoma,
diagnosis, interventions and prognosis of glaucoma.
Understanding how to assess and treat glaucoma is very important
since the blindness that occurs with untreated glaucoma is
almost always preventable if recognized and treated early.
